Not getting password email

Hi, i don't recieve the 'Email for setting up the Device Password. Its a @gmail adress. any problems known?

They only tell me how to change Passwords using FB. They don't get the point that I need a Device-Password!

I Tell them "I don't receive the Email" and they tell me to change my Password using Facebook -.-

Hey @Rilana ! Welcome to the community 🙂

Device passwords can be a little tempermental sometimes unfortunately. If you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they can get one of those emails out to you manually. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Ive done the contact form, tried to create a device password - not thrilled with this service.  Love Spotify - HATE their customer service.  The lack of response is not good!  I have a brand new receiver Spotify enabled tat basically can only play staticy FM radio - this weeked I will have to hook up the old CD player - thanks SPOTIFY for letting me hang for days...I paid for expeditied shipping on the receiver for NOTHING.

 

HELP ME WITH MY DEVICE PASSWORD - just send it to me!!!!  PLEASE!~~~~~

Some emails will go always to spam / junk folder, so check this too.

I'm totally ticked off...the auto reply is useless and I still. cannot log onto my re river..I just need a device password!!!!!!!! why is this so darn difficult? customer service is severely lacking here!!! they want my money but I can't use the service...

who will help? when? I've waited three days..I have guests coming this weekend. we can all sit and stare at the receiver I paid expedited shipping for and make comments about how beautiful is looks because it will be silent thanks to the total in action of spotify. just send me a device password! PLEASE

A member of the Spotify team did reply to @user-removed 's escalation to say they had chased up the case for you yesterday - unfortunately we can't see anymore details than that. I have asked them to double check what has happened here for you.

You should get an email to the address registered on your Spotify account. Its worth double checking your spam/junk folders too.

i registered it to submariner55@hotmail.com - at least that is the email that FACEBOOK has as my email.  It never shows a reply from Spotify EVER except for the community mailer that simply tells me when someone posts on this or the other thread Ive posted to in a very vain attempt to begin using my receiver with Spotify.  Ive owned it for a week and all ive been able to do so far is listen to staticy FM..i specifically bought it because it is compatible with SPOTIFY.  All i need to do is LOG ON - and for a week Ive been begging spotify to send me the device password and to date have never received an email other that the afore mentioned community mailer emails.  Not in inbox, Junk, Spam, Deleted...nothing.

 

Please please please help me

We've chased this up for you and have been sending emails to submariner55@hotmail.com with no reply. It's very strange that you aren't receiving any of our emails sent to that address.

 

If you could private message me your gmail address then I'll make sure the emails are resent and we get this resolved for you ASAP.

send to <snip> , <snip> (I think thats my GMAIL) i vnever use it.  I am so frustrated!!!!

I just checked again, went through EVERY message in Junk foilder, looked at EVERY message in my inbox..nothing.  Zero.  Zip,  Nada.

 

7 days of my so called free trial down the tubes!

should I delete this spotify account?  Start a new one?  Change all my billing?  Will my playlists die?  I set them up on the laptop but cant really listen to them with these crappy little speakers!

That shouldn't be necessary, Paul. We'll get things working again for you.

I have now resent the latest email to the first address you provided. Could you check and let us know if that has come through?
