Not informed about new publications

Hey,

my problem is short explained, i don't get informed about new songs of artists that i follow. I also didn't knew that was a thing, but some time ago Drake published a new song and i got a popup at starting spotify, despite not following him and never listening to a song of him.

So my question is: Is there a way of getting exact these popups or a mail when an artist that i follow publishes a new song?

Edit: I dunno why, but i had to confirm my e-mail again to put out this thread. Could it be that my problem was a not confirmed mail adress? Have been a spotify user since 2013 or so, but never noticed something weird, but also never received a mail...

By the way. The reason why you had to confirm your email address again, is because you have one Spotify account and one Community account.
