My Issue

I've noticed that my "On Repeat" and "Repeat Rewind" pages haven't updated in a week (as of December 7) . Logging out, reinstalling, and using Web Player haven't done anything.

Is anyone else having this issue? How much longer should I give it?

I've been experiencing the same issue with the premium plan in USA. My friend activity feed hasn't been updating in around 3-4 days as well. I've tried logging out of all accounts and re-logging in, which didn't help. Clearing cache and uninstalling/reinstalling the app didn't help either. I'm on MacOS Monterey with a MacBook Air 2015.

Here's my Spotify version:

Spotify for macOS (Intel)
1.1.73.517.gbef50fdb

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community.

We're currently looking into why this might be happening.

It would be great if you can submit the following info, if you haven't already:

  • Device make, model and OS version.
  • Spotify version.
  • Any troubleshooting you've done so far.

This will help us with the investigation 🙂

Cheers.

If you folks did something, it worked. Both playlists updated 29 minutes ago as of this post.

Thank you. Still experiencing this issue as of Dec 8th, 1pm EST.

I am also still having this issue.
  • Device make, model and OS version. - macOS Monterey Version 12.0.1 (was having the issue before this update and thought updating my mac would fix the issue)
  • Spotify version Spotify for macOS (Intel)
    1.1.73.517.gbef50fdb
  • Any troubleshooting you've done so far. - deleted and reinstalled spotify, logged out and back in on all devices.
I am still having this issue as of 12/8 @ 7:20 pm EST.

Hey folks,

Thanks for the info 🙂

We went ahead and passed it on to the right team. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have news.

@Dancou-Maryuu Glad to hear that everything is working as expected again.

Now it hasn't updated in four days. Now I'm wondering if I haven't been o'erhasty in saying the issue was fixed.

Yes I had the same issue on my account. Tried all the trouble shooting steps including multiple devices but the on repeat playlist would not update.

I then thought it was an issue with my account so created 2 more accounts to test.

On the new accounts the on repeat playlist is not even showing on these after listening for hours / days.

Seems like there is an issue with the listening history not updating / creating the playlist.

Please investigate spotify. This is clearly an ongoing issue and creating a new account does not help at all.

Hey folks,

Thanks for keeping us posted.

We've passed the info on to the right folks.

However, we can't provide an exact timeline for when this will be fixed. We'd recommend that you keep your app up-to-date so you don't miss the latest fixes and improvements.

The issue is back again. Niether playlist has updated in seven days.

Hey @Dancou-Maryuu,

Thanks for letting us know the issue is back.

We've received several reports about this and Spotify is aware that this is happening. The right teams are working on figuring out why this is happening.

Currently there's no official info on when exactly this issue will be fixed completely.

In the meantime we recommend listening to music with Private Session switched off, so that your recommendations algorithm can gather as much data as possible, which in turn leads to your playlists being refreshed more often.

Cheers.
