Online Gift Card Not Received?

I purchased a 1 year premium subscription around 3 days ago using the online gift card system where they email it to the recipient on a certain day. It was supposed to be received today but it hasn't arrived. Furthermore, my copy of the receipt has not been emailed to me either. The payment for the 12 months has already been taken out of my bank account.

 

Is this normal? How long does he have to wait for the gift card to be sent i.e. is it later in the day? Also do I get my receipt at the same time he gets the gift card or should it have been sent by now?

Hey @jessthemess66,

 

If you didn't get any email receipt, sometimes the amount gets 'on hold' even if the charge doesn't go through. Normally the amount gets back to your bank account a day or two later.

 

In any case, you should contact customer support through this contact form. They'll help you sort things out. They take, at the most, 24 hrs to get back to you. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

 

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
