Password doesn't work and no response from Support - 5 days and waiting

Hi all,

 

My Facebook linked account and password works fine on the website.

However when I use the same Facebook password on the App on my Mac - it says incorrect.

I did all the support steps including the changing my Facebook password etc and retrying - no joy.

 

Sent a support ticket in 5 days ago - and zero response from Spotify bar the auto email to acknowledge the ticket with the case number.

Checked Spam/Trash etc to ensure I had not missed it.

 

Any other ideas how I can force the app to synch with the password?   The application doesn't have a button to click like the web to log on with Facebook it just states use either Spotify or Facebook.

Yeah, its a bit of a messed up system but if you reply it will go straight to an advisor 😉 

I have also escalated your case to the community team to chase up, 5 days is a bit extreme!

Have you tried replyng to the automated email reply even if it is from no reply@spotify.com?

If you post that case number here I will see if I can get it chased up for you.

I didn't think to, based on the "Don't get caught in cyber-space: This is an automated e-mail so please don't reply to it."

That will teach me! 🙂

And - due to somebody far more savvy that I, it's resolved!

 

The actual issue was Facebook - I had login approvals set and for some reason even those I authorised Spotify as an app it was blocking it (even when I was saying it was recognised).

 

Mystery sorted - thanks for your help!
