Passwords with special characters incorrectly accepted

I signed up using a generated password with special characters:

'J2dDMb70Ro,DOa"K^Ri2I9m0ZdcwA

The sign-up page accepted the password, however, I was not able to log in again with this password anywhere else and had to reset it to a password that only contained characters and digits.

The characters in the password should be checked more rigorously if the password will not be accepted later on.
