Players log in but do not connect

Hi, I am having this problem right now with the web player and the iOS app on iPhone: I logged in w/ user & password, which are accepted. Then I get messages like "Connecting" in the app and "Connecting to spotify" in the web player. That runs endlessly. Restarting both does not work. I am in Germany. Something wrong with my account or the servers?

Hi Diana, thanks for the quick reply. The whole re-installing did not apply since the web player was affected, too. However, the firewall hint was good. I was in a WLAN network that used a proxy. Looks like that has too strict settings. After changing the to a WLAN network with direct internet access, it worked.
