Playing music at the same time

Hello, I recently got the family plan because when I play from my playlist I am unable to listen once my sister starts playing music on Spotify at the same time. Is this supposed to happen? I thought getting a family plan would prevent this.

I am unable to play anything when she uses it. I have to go on airplane mode in order to work around this which I find a bit of a nuisance.

Is this normal?

No, this wasn't supposed to happen. You are probably logged in the same account as your sister.

I relogged in as myself and told her to do the same.I was logged in as
myself earlier however I relogged in just in case. I will update To see if
anything changes
