Playlist likes/follows disappeared overnight

My Question or Issue

I made a collaborative playlist for some of my friends (which is an aspect of Spotify I LOVE), and I had 22 likes on it last night (1/20/2021) at around 11pm. I woke up around 2am the same night, and saw it fell to 17 likes. Of course, it is possible five people just unfollowed it, but I don't think that is the most likely case. When I woke up at 6am this morning (1/21/2021), it fell even further to 11 likes. What are six of my friends doing from 2-6am unliking it, you know? It's gone back up to 17 likes, but more people have been adding to it so those are likely new likes, so the way I see it, I should have 28 likes on this playlist right now. So yes, I think some glitch happened (or a demon curse) that has nothing to do with my friends actually unfollowing it (for the most part). This sounds more and more piddling the more I type it, but it's bothering me nonetheless and would love to get to the bottom of it... Thanks! 🙂

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. I'll try to help. Just to make sure this isn't a device-related issue, could you try having a clean reinstall of the app following these steps? You can also check if the same amount of followers show up when you use another device.

When this happened, I checked it out on my laptop as well and I still had the same issue. However, I think the likes are all caught up now, as they gradually started coming back. Funny enough, I'm at 28. Thanks so much for your help, you're the best!!!!

Just to make sure we're on the same page, are you talking about playlist likes or profile followers? If the former, please send over a link to the playlist so we can check it on our end as well. Also, let us know how things look when logged in on a different device (preferably a different platform).
