Hello. My name is Cole. I do understand we cannot usernames but I have my reasoning for wanting the ability to change display names. People change their names in real life and online for whatever reason. We shouldn't have to stick with birthnames that we don't identify with. To some, it may not seem like a big deal but it really is to those it is applicable to. Another reason people should be able to change their display name is similar to the previous reason; embarrassing/old nicknames that the person doesn't go by anymore and might not want others to know and if they're like me and use their Spotify when friends come over it will be an awkward and uncomfortable situation. My final reason, Spotify would be recommended by more people. Spotify is already great but I know many people who would definitely use it if we had the freedom to just change our display names, I thank you for your time.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to change your username as the username generated  is created due to security matters.

However, while subscribing your asked "how do you want us to call you?" and this represent the username that will be displayed out on the app.
