My Question or Issue

My ex was paying for a duo spotify premium, my account was using his email. Today he cancelled it so i went in and changed my email on the account to be my email and signed up for a solo premium account under my debit card on the spotify account i’ve been using for years. Here’s the problem, i don’t know how but instead of changing the email to my current one, it connected my old account to the email i entered  and remained his email. He then proceeded to change the password to my account and I can no longer get into my spotify account or cancel my premium subscription. please help. i tried resetting password but the email goes to him where he just ignores it. and yes i tried asking him to change the email or cancel my subscription and he said no. i’d really like to get my account back as it has years of my music on it.

Here are the steps:

Account Recovery: Try the Spotify account recovery page.
New Account: If needed, create a new account and ask Spotify to transfer your playlists.
Hope this helps!
