Portuguese account to use in UK

Hi there,

I'm Portuguese and I'm currently living in the UK. I would like to have access to the Portuguese content instead (at least for now). Saw that I can change my account country and I do own Portuguese payment cards.

My question is can I subscribe to Spotify Premium Portuguese content living in UK? Is this ok to do? Any problems with Spotify or limitations in the service that I can face?

Well I know that if you go to a country that does not offer Spotify, but have an Account in a country that does have a spotify service, you can pay with a card from the country that has the service, it is acceptable. I assume (though I could be incorrect) that this works similarly, if you have a Portuguese account and you pay with a Portuguese Card, it should still work, even though the UK has its own service.

Based on your reply I shouldn't have any problem. I would like to have a reply from Spotify staff on this. Should I contact Spotify support?

Yup, you are free to subscribe in whichever country you like, as long as you have a payment method from that country. So you can swap over to Portugal if you like, have access to the Portugal catalogue and of course with Premium, your account will continue to function normally anywhere in the world (since you get unlimited abroad time).
