Premium Account Issues

Premium Account Issues

I've had Spotify Premium for almost a year - and for the first time in a long time after my phone reset I had to resign into Spotify.
Well, all of my songs and playlists are gone and it says that I have Spotify Free which is bull**bleep**. I was just charged in February.
How do I get my account information reversed? As in, all of my playlists, songs and Premium back working?
This is so darn annoying.

Hey @user-removed,

It sounds like you've got a second account with Spotify. Are there any other email addresses you could have used to register with Spotify? It's worth checking those inboxes to see if you have any Spotify emails -- that will mean your extra account is registered with that email.

  • If you don't have another email address, note how you log into the Spotify app usually.
  • If you use your Facebook details try entering your Spotify username (if you created one originally).
  • If you use your Spotify username try entering just your email address.

Hey! Thanks so much for responding.

I may have signed up with an old work email that has since been deleted. Since I cannot access it - is there a way to recover the account?
I've never had a Facebook account to link my Spotify account too.

You may be able to regain access to the account by reaching out to Spotify Support and providing some info to proof ownership (if requested by them):

Contact form: https://support.spotify.com/contact-spotify-support/?contact
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SpotifyCares/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/spotifycares

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
