Premium account hacked

Premium account hacked

At 3 am last night I received an email saying that control of my spotify account (Sassybooboobear) had been moved from my email to an unrelated email that is not owned by me. What's more, this email was written entirely in Hebrew. I responded to the email sent by account-details-changed@spotify.com and after most of the day I have yet to receive a response. I sent another email to Spotify Support using another email address, and the automatic response I received told me to come to the Spotify Community. After making a second account using my original email address, i'm just trying to use as many channels as possible to contact Spotify. If 3 separate messages in 1 day seems excessive: I'm sure it is, I'm just concerned about the service that i'm paying for but unable to properly use.

Hey @user-removed

Be sure to check this Support article.

The best course of action when something like that happens is to create a new account with a different email address from the one you're using (Tip: don't use the one you use for Facebook). That will give you a different Spotify username.

Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges, library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

Connected devices stay with the old account, so you'll have a fresh start without them.

Hope it helps. 🙂
