So this guy, guessing from USA, has hacked my account. He changed the spotify password and the email that is linked to the account. I've managed to gain access to my account through Facebook and deleted my payment and cancelled my subscription just in case he manage to block my facebook. However, since he changed the spotify-password and the email, I can't reset the password. I've sent a request to spotify but the automated response will go to the email set on the spotify account.
Will I ever get control over the account again or should i just delete my account?
And how can he so easily change both password and email without me getting a heads-up on the previous set email?

Hi,
As mentioned - the main email has been changed by the hacker and since he also changed the password I can't change it back.
I've sent an email using the contact form you link to, but if they then just respond back to the main email, even though i included my real email in the mail, I'll never get that answer.
So basicly I'm asking if there is any hope for me getting the account back and why it's so easy to change both password and email without sending out a notification to the previous email.

Hi, I am not sure if posting a reply on a current thread is the best way to do this, but the forum application seemed to be encouraging me to do this.
My premium account has been hacked. The e mail address associated with the account (down********@gmail.com) is not mine and the password has been changed. I can still log in, though. I think this is because it is linked to my Facebook (who knew that would pay off!?).
How can I have this issue addressed? There was a yahoo address associated with this account at its inception. That is a good way to reach me for verification. I am hesitant to post my e mail address on this forum, but if there is some kind of direct message feature, I am happy to provide my e mail address to a moderator or spotify staff member that way.

It looks like my account was hacked too. I contacted the support team through that contact form, but how will they know I'm the real owner? It seems like this is a way for hackers to gain access to people's accounts.
As an add on, the email that the hacker changed to be linked to my account is: olivergustavsson2@gmail.com
Still no response from anyone at spotify about my account. When will someone get to this? And is there any investigation into the people doing the hacking? Again, the hackers email is olivergustavsson2@gmail.com
Do spotify employees reply to posts here? What am I supposed to do about this hacked account? There's no phone number, and no indication that anything is being done about my account. Should I just cancel my subscription?
