I have already paid for a 1 year subscription but you guys are keeping my acount paused. It is saying that I need to update my payment method. I tried to log out and restart and re-installing the app. Nothing works! Why is this happening?? Why do I have to update my payment method when I already paid??!!

That's odd. We'd recommend going here to check if the payment was successful: https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/receipt/. If the payment is not showing there, it wasn't successful. 

 

If the payment shows as pending, this could explain things: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/payment_help/i-pay-for-premium-why-am-i-on-free/.

Hi Aimee_T,

I checked the link and I have a full receipt. I also checked my bank account and it shows that the $143.88 were debited from my account. So nothing is pending or unsuccessful in terms of the payment but it still shows as being paused. What the next step to resolve this problem?

To follow up on the previous problem is there any solution?? If none, can be found then I would prefer a refund of the payment I made instead.
