Premium for family cannot add anyone

Hello...I already had Spotify Family for me and my son and daughter.  I received your email about the changes and the additional family memberships so followed the instructions to add my wife.  However, when she clicks the Accept Invitation link in the invitation email it takes her to a page that says she cannot join because she is already a member of this or another plan.  It then invites her to switch counts which she cannot do because she is not a member at all and therefore cannot log in.  I put her email address into the forgot password box to see if she had an old free membership but it confirmed that it did not recognise the email address.

 

Please advise on what to do

The community isn't Spotify Staff even tho they may reply to the odd posts we do most replies.

 

I'd suggest you touch base with Spotify so they can check it out behind the back whether there is a problem:

Thanks v much for replying, really good of you.

 

I had just worked out that the problem was that my wife didn't have an account of any type at all.  So I created a free one and then it upgraded her to my premium.

 

I guess you could say I am a tad thick, but it wasn't clear from the instructions at all that creating a free account should be necessary...it simply asked me to email her the link.

 

Oh well, done now and thanks again anyway
