Problems logging in

I'm having problems logging in, I'm wondering if you could help. On my desktop app on my laptop it won't let me log in via facebook (it just freezes and doesn't do anything after clicking the logging in option)

I can't remember my password so I go to reset password at the bottom of the screen. When I put in my email address it comes up with 'The email address you entered is not linked to a Spotify account. You can either try another email address, or log in through Facebook - if your account is connected.'

I look on my profile and it seems that I originally made my account with a previous email and other details, when I go change the details of my profile it tells me I have the incorrect password. So now I'm stuck, what can I do to rectify this?

We first suggest that you go through the steps provided on this help article.

If that doesn't work, try logging in on another device/incognito window, try to access your account page along with the Web Player to see if it makes any difference. Log in with both Facebook and regularly. 

If that works, but not in the app, reinstall the app, and make sure to try different internet connections.
