Profile name not displayed

My Question or Issue

I expect that this is posted often- so I apologise- but I haven't found an answer when searching the web.

I recently made a spotify account using email and I set a profile name, but this profile name does not appear anywhere.

I know usernames cannot be changed and will remain as a string of characters, but I thought profile names would be displayed instead. Is this how it's meant to be or is something wrong?

Could you log in on this page to see if you have any Display Name set?

If there is no Display Name, you'll need to create a new account as perhaps something went wrong in the sign up process. You can read here how to close your old account before you create your new account.
