RE:Deleted facebook account, can't login anymore to cancel subscription

Hi folks,

I have the exact same issue with the link below:

I deleted my fb account and it's bount to my spotify premium. Just realised the subscript is still on going and I paid for this month subscription but I can't login any longer with the deleted account. I don't want to cancel the subscription but to transfer it to the new account. Can anyone please help??? 😛

Hi,

It depends how you did your signup.

Did you signup with spotify and then you connected to facebook? Or did you signup with your facebook account?

The post you referenced did signup with spotify.

I think i signedup with fb account. I remember the username was a combination of some digits. Still cannot access the account. Can anyone help.?

still not solved yet. Can spotify team just delete my credit card details or something so that at least for next month no payment is done?

Since you already deleted your facebook account this will not work.

Hey @darada,

Just to follow up on what @Rene01 said, there is a workaround in this Spotify Answer (the same one Rene linked you to before). I'll copy the relevant steps below:

Steps for option 1 (Deactivate your Facebook but continue to log into Spotify with the email and password you used for Facebook)

Please note your displayed Spotify username will be a string of numbers instead of your display name. 

• Deactivate your Facebook
• Reset your password by entering the email address that was registered on your Facebook account
• Open the Spotify app
• Enter the email address and the new password (you cannot select the Log in with Facebook option any longer). 
• You can continue to use the app as normal without a Facebook account.
