Radio Thumbs don't work on Mac

I've been trying to figure this out forever. I've given up. Now, I don't use the Spotify Radio at all. Ever!

The reason is simple. On something like Pandora, a thumbs up or down changes the program's overall perception of your taste. On Spotify (at least on my system), pushing the thumbs up or down does nothing. It doesn't even flash a light inside the button. Nothing whatsoever. I have read others who seem to be able to get it to work, but not me.

I'm using an iMac Retina 5k running El Capitan 10.11.3 with a 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 with 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory.
