My Question or Issue

Started a playlist, but didn't realize new songs were being shuffled in.  Trying to find a song that was played and wasn't on the album, however my recently played list isn't updating.   Song would have been played between 11:56am and 1pm today. Please assist.

In case your Recently Played tab isn't properly updating it's possible that you need to start afresh with the Spotify app on both your iPhone and MacBook. The best way to do this is by performing a clean reinstall on your devices, which is a more thorough step compared to the simple reinstall. 

 

Check out this help page in order to find the steps for clean reinstall depending on the affected device. Keep in mind once you’ve performed the clean reinstall you'll need to re-download your offline music and podcasts.

 

Another step you can try on your iPhone to check if the tab will update is to try disabling any power saving or data cleaning settings. Alternatively, you can try authorizing Spotify to run without restrictions despite the mentioned settings being enabled. Make sure you try this since such features can often prevent the app from operating at full capacity.
