Regarding Spotify revenue technicalities

I'm wondering about how the Spotify revenues are paid to artists technically. If an indie musician who doesn't belong to any label nor royalty collecting society like ASCAP publishes music via aggregate like CDBaby, does he get all of the relevant income through CDBaby, or is some of the revenue paid to ASCAP which would mean that he would be missing part of his income until he joins the society? So are there different directions that Spotify is sending the money or does it all go through one instance?
