Resetting my password on Spotify

Hi there! I signed up to Spotify directly on your website years ago (2011/2012?) using my Hotmail account. That account was hijacked a few years back and now my only log in is through my Facebook account. I'm also paying for a Premium account today so you have my bank information. Unfortunately, I don't remember my original password that i originally signed up with on your website and therefore have troubles getting logged in to Spotify through other computers or digital plattforms. How do I reset my password on your website through Facebook?? Or can I reset both the email account and password on your website without a confirmation of the "old" password?

Hi Sonja,

When you try to log in through other computers or digital plattforms, make sure the email address you use to log into facebook is the same when you enter it into Spotify. Also the password you use to log into facebook is the password for Spotify. Don't try to log in using facebook. Enter your email/password manually and see if that works!

Ok, so maybe this helps: go into Facebook app and click the Gear symbol in the top right hand corner. Choose account settings.
In the left panel choose Apps. Then, Spotify App - remove it.
If your spotify program is open, close it. Reopen it and it will ask for your login. Use your Facebook email and your new password. You should be able to log in and it will ask if you want to connect to Facebook.
