SPOTIFY THINKS IM ABROAD WHEN IM NOT AND NEVER WAS.

SPOTIFY THINKS IM ABROAD WHEN IM NOT AND NEVER WAS.

When I try logging into my account after reinstalling Spotify it says abroad is only available 14 days or something and I've never been out of the country and when I go on any computer to check which country it has, it's the correct one which is US where I've always been since I made my account. Please help I really don't want to make another account or use another app.

How are you trying to log into the Spotify app?

  1. Using Facebook
  2. Using Username and Password
  3. Using Email address and Password

Thanks for letting me know. So you've checked https://spotify.com/account and it's set to US?

 

If so, are you using any VPNs/Proxys?

Yes it does say US and I am using VPN called Onavo Protect.

You may be seeing the error message when logging in because of that VPN. I'd recommend turning it off to see if it'll work then.

Well I was hoping it'd work but I uninstalled vpn because I didn't really need it anymore and it still says the same thing.

I had this issue on my old account, ended up making a new one which worked for 14 days, then I had the issue again. I haven't found a fix 😞

In case you've been more than 14 days abroad, you can follow these steps to change the country settings. Then you can try again logging in to your account in the app.

 

If the issue persists, you can try with another network. Are there any changes?
