Saved Songs Don't Show as Such When I Visit Artist's Page

Solved!

Saved Songs Don't Show as Such When I Visit Artist's Page

I recently started "saving" songs from old playlists (mostly artist playlists I made years before saving songs was an option). Since, I've noticed sometimes when I am on an artist's page, it won't say a song is saved. So I will save it and then if I go to my saved items, it'll be on there twice. And no, I am not talking about the same songs with different titles (remastered versions for example, even though that drives me crazy as well). Any ideas? I can provide screen shots if that helps.

Hey @lhackney, welcome to the community!

There could be a few different versions of the same song which is causing this issue. Since Spotify offers the information as it's sent by artists and labels, you may see duplicate of the same songs.

However, since the songs are from different album versions, you won't see the duplicate song warning when saving it to your Songs or playlists.

To test it out, you can try deleting the old song you saved and keeping the new one. When you go back to the artist page or where you found the song without the check mark, it'll have it.

All the best.

Update: it's really strange/annoying/frustrating. For example: noticed I don't have ANY songs saved when I visit a band, but when I go to my artists section, I will see several songs saved by the band. It's almost like I saved copies that have since been deleted and replaced by Spotify yet I can still listen to them. Does anyone know if that possible?
