Search Has Problems

For nearly a year, I have been unable to search for a song or artist, neither have I been able to switch playlists, because all I get is a big buffering symbol on a black screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and switched up the compatibility, all to no avail! Is this an ongoing issue? I didn't find any other posts with the same problem.
