Searching for specific users or friends

I've recently created a Premium account. My username, which I wasn't about to edit, is a string of letters and numbers. I've changed my profile name to my [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME] so my friends and family are able to find me. However, I found that when I asked my friends to search for [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME], they weren't able to find me. They did, however, find multiple profiles with the same or similar names to me. 

My questions are:

(1) Why are some accounts searchable by either (what I assume, is their profile name or username) and my account is not searchable by this name? 

(2) Does this mean I have to memorise and give out a long string of letters and numbers everytime I want someone to follow my account? 

(3) How do I make my account searchable like all these other accounts, by simply entering a name into the search bar?

Thanks for reaching out.

1. Not all profiles are being shown in Search right away. It depends on the profile's popularity, follower count and maybe some other factors.
2. Right now, yes, that is correct. You could also send them the link to your profile.
3. You can do this by promoting your account and getting some popularity so it'll show up in Search.
