Sharing a song in Spotify with non-Facebook users

There are a lot of posts about this from 2012, and the updates have made them obsolete... is there a way now to share songs with someone who is not your Facebook friend? I can get to his page, I know his username and everything, but if I try to send a song to a specific person and type in his username, he doesn't show up, I can only see Facebook friends. Why would Spotify change it so that you can't share songs unless you're Facebook friends? Lots of people don't have Facebook, even these days! 😠

We're afraid that at the moment it's not possible to share tracks with friends that don't have a Facebook account. Here's more info on how to share tracks across platforms.
