Signed up for Family, can't add wife (facebook, email) stuck in a loop.

Signed up for Family, can't add wife (facebook, email) stuck in a loop.

I signed up for family, tried to add one account.  Went to add wife using her phone.  Selected facebook to login, but it did not work.  Tried to login with email, but was told the email already had an account.  Tried to reset password but was told that I needed to reset the password for her facebook account.   Reset her facebook password which broke many things and she is very angry now.   tried to login and the whole process started again.   She is currently using my login still but we cannot run together (which was our whole point).

Each family member has to have a separate username and password. So the first step is to create new accounts for each new member (if they haven't already).

 
I suggest creating it with an email address (not the one used for Facebook, if possible), since they'll be able to pick a Spotify username / password. Using Facebook will not let you do that, and that sometimes causes problems (like the ones you mention).
 
Each member will now have a Free account, so the next step is for them to join your Family plan through your account (You're the one who pays, so you'll be the Family Admin).
 
Send by yourself the link generated through INVITE MEMBER BY LINK, instead of letting the system send the mail.
 
Let them accept the invite logged in with their own username, and you'll be set. Each will be able to listen to music at the same time, and will have separate libraries, playlists and friends.

great Info. How do I uninvite someone?  It says to replace but what if I want to just delete the invites I sent out and start over?

I haven't tried myself, but apparently there's a 'button to remove a family member in the Premium for family area of the preferences'.
