Signed up to normal premium, then I switched to family premium. Do i still get charged for my own?

Solved!

Signed up to normal premium, then I switched to family premium. Do i still get charged for my own?

I signed up to normal premium yesterday however, My dad threw me over his link to join his family premium account instead. When I joined the family premium this morning it asked me to switch as I alreay had premium.

Do I still get charged for my own premium as I didn't cancel it before joining my dads family premium?

Hello @user-removed. Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

It's awesome to see you taking advantage of the savings that Spotify Family can offer. You've got a great question too.

As long as you were subscribed to Spotify Premium through Spotify, and not iTunes or your mobile cellular provider, your personal Premium will switch over to your Dad's Family Plan at the end of your current billing period.

If your Premium is currently handled by a third party, like iTunes or your mobile carrier, you'll want to cancel with them first to ensure you're still not being charged.

Let me know if this helps and keep on rockin'!
