Sorry, couldn't find that. -Solved-

Sorry, couldn't find that. -Solved-

Hello Spotify Community,

I'm having trouble using the web browser player on my desktop computer to listen to Spotify. I get the message "Sorry, couldn't find that." on my browser when I login to hear music.

Screenshot attached.

Update

What hasn't worked so far:

  • Clearing history and cache
  • Chrome Incognito mode
  • Logging out and logging back in

Best regards,

Yasmin

Hello,

I would suggest to try another browser, and clear all Cache. For Chrome, try using Incognito mode.

Let me know that goes 🙂

Hi,

Sometimes this happens when your wifi is spotty.  Try closing the tab completely and then reopening it.  If that doesn't work try clearing your history.

Let me know if this works!

I tried Chrome Incognito and clearing all cache but nothing worked.

I use cable internet for my destop. I tried clearing history with no change.

Thanks for the reply.

Okay, next we can go ahead and log out, then log back in. Hopefully troubleshooting your issue could lead to the solution.

Logging out and loging back in hasn't helped.

@staryasmin,

Thanks for trying that. Please go ahead and restart (power off then power back on) your PC, and let me know how this goes 🙂

Hasn't worked. Still the same

@staryasmin,

Thanks for trying that. I would suggest to Update Firefox, try adifferent browser, and create another user account and try it there.

You can also check your connection properties.

Let me know how this goes:)

My firefox is update and I tried Chrome browser with same results. I have a premium spotify account, I can't create another one.  I have reset my router and there hasn't been any change

Hey @staryasmin

In case you're still having the issue, I suggest checking your hosts file, maybe some Spotify services are simply being redirected.

It's easy to check the file, just do this:

1. open Notepad as an administrator (right-click - Open as Administrator)
2. go to File - Open and navigate to

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

3. Choose "All Files" instead of "Text Documents" next to the File Name box. You'll see a handful of files. Pick hosts and click on Open.
4. The file is opened. You will see a block of text with # in front of each line and might see entries like

0.0.0.0 website.com
127.0.0.1 website2.com

Check for any entries with spotify or fastly in the address. Examples may look like:

0.0.0.0 weblb-wg.gslb.spotify.com
0.0.0.0 prod.b.ssl.us-eu.fastlylb.net

(and any variations inbetween)
5. If you do find any, you can delete the line. You can also add a # in front of the line, that's 'commenting out'.
6. Save your changes. Restart Spotify.

You can also try removing all lines to see what happens.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

@staryasmin,

I had the same issue but solved it: Please check that your computer's clock time is correct. Mine was off by several hours (due to an issue dual booting from another OS). When I set the time correctly it worked. Hope that helps.

I am having the same problem (free account) and I get the same answer on both Chrome and Firefox browsers. I do not have admin rights so the first solution does not work for me. my system's clock is some 3 minutes late, do you think this could be the issue?

worked perfectly!

if you'll ever come to Italy, I owe you a beer!!

thanks a lot

@q_f-moc22q2m,

Have a nice day 🙂

Hey @meghi12

I do recommend correcting your system's clock, especially when it worked for someone else.

Operating systems are quite capricious about correct system clocks, incorrect clock may cause quite interesting miscellaneous problems 🙂
