Spotify App account doesn't transfer to web account

Spotify App account doesn't transfer to web account

Today I wanted to cancel my spotify account and lo and behold, I have not been able to do so with the app. However, when I went online to cancel, it registered the same email but a different password. I confirmed this on both the app and the website that my own email has two different passwords to two different spotify accounts. What can I do this to fix this?

You should ask for a password reset.


After that, try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.


Next, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your device, and be sure to use that username, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.


In the website, you can cancel if you want to, and delete your payment info.
