Spotify Connect Automatically starts Spotify on other devices

I use Spotify at work and use the Spotify Windows Desktop app. The problem is that everytime I play a song, it automatically starts the app on my phone and plays music from there AND from my computer.  This is not a question of choosing, it plays music on both!

How do I disable Spotify Connect? I am currently not using Spotify on my computer as it drains my data on my phone.

Hey @vinceandbo, welcome to the community!

To make sure this doesn't happen, you'll need to fully close the Spotify app on your phone before launching the desktop app. You can also switch the mobile app to Offline Mode.
