Spotify Family - Cannot add member due to "not the same country as owner" even though we are

 

Hi,

 

I cannot add my partner, who resides on the same address as me to the spotify family account.

I get the message (roughly translated from Dutch) "you could not be added to the family account because you have to be in the same country as the owner of the family account". However, both of our accounts say Belgium...

 

What to do?

I recommend reaching out to Spotify Support. They can be reached through their Twitter Handle @SpotifyCares, Facebook Page Spotify Cares, or through the online contact form.

If you submit the contact form instead of the Twitter or Facebook Message, make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify.
