Hi, I was subscribed to Spotify and had a family plan. I cancelled the subscription and recently reinstated it, I tried to upgrade to the family plan and received the following: Unfortunately, there is no support at the moment to make this type of change to your subscription. Contact our customer service team who can help you further. Family PlanFamily Plan

Your family members needs to Cancel their Subscription first, then you can Subscribe again and add family members.

My husband isn't subscribed to a paid subscription. He's on the free version of spotify. When looking at his account there is nothing that says 'unsubscribe'.

When you first time Subscribed to the Family Subscription are you sure you didn't add any family members? Usually error message like that which you received means that there are still family members using that Subscription. That's why you can not create a new Family Subscription.
