Spotify Permium using gift cards overseas

So I have read that I can buy a spotify gift cards in Hong Kong, but I am going back to New Zealand next month so I want to know that will my premium get cut off cuz of different country? And is it possible to gift it to overseas friend to redeem it?

Hey @Marco_desu_yo,

Spotify gift cards can only be redeemed on Spotify accounts registered in the same country where they were purchased. They’re also not redeemable for Premium for Family, or in conjunction with other discounts and promotions, such as the student discount or trial offers.
