Spotify South Korea

Hi,

I'm planning to buy my brother an annual spotify subscription for his birthday. He's currently in the UK but will be moving to South Korea in a couple of weeks. If he activates his Spotify account using the gift I purchase in the UK will it still work when he moves to South Korea?

Hey @ieskafi83, welcome to the Spotify Community!

If your friend redeems the gift in the UK, it theoretically should work in South Korea as well since Premium accounts are allowed to travel abroad unrestricted. But keep in mind that South Korea isn't listed on Spotify's list of supported countries, so there is a small chance he could run into issues with the account. As long as it stays as a UK account, it should work, but he won't be able to use an SK credit card or address in his account settings.
