Spotify: Taking the money and running.

Spotify: Taking the money and running.

So I was recently charged by Spotify twice, of varying amounts. Once $5.39 and another $4.99 within two minutes of one another. This had happened when I tried to subscribe to the student discount page of Spotify, in which Spotify said that it had failed to find me in college. I first thought that it had been a mistake, refreshed and it, again, said that it had failed to find me in college. Now why was I charged two different times and two different amounts without having been alerted by spotify at all? It does't show up on my reciepts but it does show up on my card as two different charges. And even so, even it did charge me for 4.99 as the student discount suggested, why do I not have premium? I have been a subscriber for over a year and I feel that I deserve better treatment than this.

Hey @Khyran, welcome to the community!

Sounds like the student verification didn't go through properly which is why you didn't receive Premium and have multiple authorization charges. Don't worry though, they will clear within 3 days. If you're located in the US, go to https://spotify.sheerid.com/ to get manually verified. If you're not located in the US, let me know and I'll investigate. Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions! 🙂
