Spotify Unlimited as a gift

<seriously - I just want to buy a years worth of "unlimited" for my girlfriend. But it does not seem possible - first I'm told gift cards are not available in my country (US). OK - wth?

Second, I am directed to go to a "pay elsewhere" or whatever the marketing term is, but from there I can only buy premium.

It seems that everyrhing about spotify accounts is a labor - why?

Is there a simple way for me to do this simple thing?>

Spotify high street gift cards can be redeemed for unlimited, eCards can't be used to purchased unlimited and are not currently available in the US.

What is a "high street" card? I've been all over the web site, and did not find the page you have linked. Wow - they make is so frigging difficult! Why does the web site tell me gift cards are not available in my country? Wow, I am starting to hate this company!

At present, Spotify e-cards aren't available in the US (although we'd love to have them over there) but gift-cards are. You can read more about these here.
