My Question or Issue
Hi, for the past 2 months whenever I say "Hey Google, play music on My TV" Spotify always plays the same song. It used to just pick up whatever song was playing on my phone at the time of vocalizing the command. Or else I think it would just play a song from whatever playlist I was last listening to.
If I hear "Send me on my way" by Rusted Root anymore I'm going to go insane.
Hey there folks,
We really appreciate you sharing this here in the Community!
We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread. Just to confirm, are you still experiencing this?
If so, could you let us know what troubleshooting you already tried to fix the issue so we can take it from there?
Keep us posted! We’ll be happy to help further, just give us a shout 🙂
I don't know what it is about that song, but mine anyways gets stuck on it too!
If I say "play", "play some music", or anything along those lines, it always plays Send Me On My Way.
If I tell it to play something specific, it always gives me an error.
"Hey google, play Bastille"
"Playing Bastille on Spotify"

Hey there @shakizi,
Thanks for reaching out about this.
Would you mind letting us know if you've already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app? This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files that might be causing issues.
We'd also recommend making sure that your device is up to date.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi there @damiantaggart,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!
Just to confirm, did you already try running a clean reinstall of the app with the steps in the link that @Novy shared above?
If that doesn't help, try unlinking and linking again Spotify with Google Assistant by following these steps.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how it goes.
