My Question or Issue

 So a while back I wanted to log in to my Spotify account on the PC app at work. I'd done this plenty of times before but suddenly it wouldn't accept my email. So I tried my second email (which I've never used with Spotify before) and it worked. The next day I tried with my old one again and it worked. It went back and forth like this for a few days until it just stopped accepting my old email altogether. Now it only accepts my alternative one. I received no notice of this change. It just sort of happened. And when I tried to change back it just said that the email is already in use. Like, what? I can't use it to log in like I used to, so it can't be in use. And like I mentioned; Spotify should not even know about my alternative one.. So what gives?

 

Also, can someone explain why I can't change username? I created this account like 10 years ago, and I've sort of moved on from my old username. But still want the listening history I've accumulated over the years and don't want to have to deal with the hassle of transferring my subscription. It just seems dumb that this is not an option...

According to what you're letting us know, it's possible that you have more than one Spotify account associated to you. If you'd like, you can find some useful information on how to locate additional Spotify accounts on this page.
