Spotify changed my username to random letters and numbers

I have just created this account and I chose my username to be "Papacat" spotify, however, decided to change it to 5sdnh9wmr3wou85drer28s1w8. I can't log in with the username I chose and I certainly won't be able to remember that username. If there is no way to change it, can I at least delete and make a new one?

To make it clear, I did not use facebook to log in. I repeat, I did not use facebook at any time. I only used my email. I've seen a lot of problems like this where mods say that it is because one logged in with Facebook. Even though my community profile name shows Papacat, whenever I go to the actual app it shows the random numbers. Further evidence of this is that I cannot log in using the profile name that I have chosen.
