Spotify family plan won't let me accept invite

Spotify family plan won't let me accept invite

Hello, I was invited to a spotify premium for family account. I clicked accept invitation, typed in my invite code and checked off the box in the reCaptcha section confirming that I am not a robot. It keeps telling me something went wrong and to try again. I don't know what the issue is, and of course spotify doesn't even respond to me with help they just tell me to tweet at them or ask the community. Why can't their reps help out instead? Aren't they supposed to know the issue and how to fix it since the issue is with their server not the users themselves?

Does it help if you try redeeming the code directly in here? We'd recommend deleting cache/cookies and using an incognito window on your web browser.

We'd recommend having the Premium for Family owner re-send the invitation to you.

I am having a similiar issue.  Asking the Community is not helping.  I read the FAQ's and it said I didn't have to cancel my subscription as it said that they would just stop taking the payments.  When I accepted the invite it didn't confirm or deny success but I note when I checked my account it still has my subscription as being due 26/9 and that payment will be taken from my credit card.  Do I have to cancel my subscription??

Has anyone come up with a solution to this problem?

I have done this over and over and over! When I hit the accept invitation link it just takes me to the sign in page. It doesn't take me to the page to put in my invite code. I'm being charged the premium plan price and I'm the only one in my house who can use it! What a racket!

I'm having the same issue it keeps on saying "3 -oops something went wrong, please try again". I already tried a hundred times what else is there to do? Really sad and terrible tech support considering that comments from weeks ago still have not received any sort of help from anyone at spotify.
