Spotify family won't let individual users play different music on their separate accounts

Hello,

 

My parents have spotify family but their accounts appear to be "linked" such that when one parent tries to play music on their phone, it plays on the other person's phone as well. They have separate spotify usernames. But when they try to play music on their username on their device it interferes with the other person's spotify on their device. Any help?

Hey there!

 

Can you head over here to make sure there are two sepparate accounts on the Spotify Family overview? This sounds like both parents are using the same account somehow, so have one of them try making a new account and connect that to the family plan. As I Family user myself, I've never had anything like this happen before. Let me know what happens and if you have any more problems, feel free to ask.
