It's hard to imagine a better idea with a worse implementation.  Whoever decided to link accounts to Facebook logins needs to be kicked directly in the balls until they no longer pose a breeding risk to the rest of humanity.  I can see the meeting now:

Moron: "Duhhhhhhh.... uh.... Facebook is popular, right?"
Programmer: "Yeah."
Moron: "Duhhhhhhhhhh uh...let's make it impossible to log in to the service were charging people to use unless there's some confusing, impossible to understand connection between their facebook account and Spotify.:
Programmer: "Because that's the stupidest idea in the history of mankind."
Moron: "Duhhhhhh...uhuh...... thanks!  Do it!"
