Spotify keeps charging me after I cancelled my subscription

Spotify keeps charging me after I cancelled my subscription

I cancelled my subscription on 3/12/2016 and received an email confirming the cancellation. The website also confirmed that by show that "Your Premium subscription will end on 4/11/16" under account overview. However, today I was charged $9.99 for the subscription and when I checked the website, it showed an active account without any termination date.

Now I know it's hopeless to try to get my money back because they'll come up with some excuse eventhough I never used the service during that month. However, how do I make sure that doesn't happen again. I already went through the steps of cancelling my account again and received an email and the website states the termination date. I thought of removing my credit card information but that is not possible (now I know why). Please help.

And Me too

Hello @allam555 and @bonner1960,

You should contact customer support through this link:

https://support.spotify.com/contact-spotify-support/

They'll help you out.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.

Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, you can tweet @SpotifyCares.

Cheers,

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

I already contacted customer support twice by they didn't even reply to me. I am still being charged for the subscription and I keep cancelling it everytime. This is the third time now. This is truely ridiculous.

Hey @aliam555

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

If you still have not gotten a reply:

Did you get a confirmation email from the contact form? It should be similar to "Spotify Support Case #XXXXXXX". If so, reply back to that email and tell them you still need help.

If you got an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it saying you still need help, even if it's from a no-reply address.

If you never got an email, look in your spam folder to see if there is an email in there. Make sure you are checking the email account you used to sign up to Spotify. You can check the email on your account here.

Hey @aliam555,

After you have checked the things in @MattSuda his message, you can also send an email support@spotify.com .
