Spotify not saving purchased music

Spotify not saving purchased music

Before I joined spotify I was told that I could keep my own library of previously purchased songs from itunes along with songs I download from the spotify app itself.

However as soon as i synced my songs on my computer, they play just fine on the computer. But...when i try to open them on my phone they appear grey, and the app says I have to allow my phone to sync the songs from the computer. When I try to this, I find that there is no way to authorize this.

somebody please help resolve this issue
