Spotify paused because account is being used somewhere else

Hello, I have spotify on both my iPad and iPhone. My iPhone works fine but my iPad constantly gets an error while playing saying that "spotify has been paused because your account is being used somewhere else", but it is definitely not. I've even checked to make sure the application is closed on my iPhone and I also have never logged in anywhere else. I also have an issue connecting this account with Facebook. I had an old free account connected to Facebook, which I thought I unlinked, and it won't let me connect my new premium account. Please help.
