Spotify playing SAME ADS dispite disliking them

My Question or Issue

Same ad dispite disliking. Stupid chase bank nobody wants to listen to "Maybe she lost it at this" Disgusting and inappropriate. THE DISLIKE BUTTON SHOULD TAKE AWAY THAT AD. The fact spotify keeps playin that ad makes me feel like it's on purpose "Oh you don't like this ad?" We will play it MORE!! It is the ONLY ad i get now!!!!!

Why do I keep hearing certain advertisements even after I mark it offensive? When I get advertisements for certain content that I find disturbing (true crime films, for example) I will click the thumbs down button and mark that my reason for doing so is that I find the content to be offensive. Yet, even if I do this multiple times, I will still receive this advertisement over and over. I understand that I have free Spotify and this means ads, and that I can't always control them. Does the 'this content is offensive' button not actually do anything? If so, why is it there in the first place?

I agree I dislike political ads and they keep playing them no matter what reason I put stop playing them if someone dislikes them.

All the advertising I see is political and there is a thumbs up and down button but they don’t work. Need to get rid of all the political advertising or put on both sides not just one.

Me too. I think they play ads you down vote to get you to subscribe. I’ve switched to pandora but I have a huge playlist on Spotify.

I gave a thumbs down on a specific advertisement about a podcast about scary stories but it's been continuously showing up for the past hour. How can I make this work? I selected the option that I find it unpleasant but it's still showing up -- and it's the only advertisement showing up. This is really getting annoying.

Same here, they keep playing this stupid annoying ad over and over.

I wouldn't be surprised if the like and dislike buttons are swapped. Disliking an ad being "Oh, you want more of this kind of ad" and Liking ad being "Oh, you don't like this kind of ad".

If someone dislikes an ad, then the ad should stop playing and be replaced by something different.

If an ad is liked, it's ok to keep playing it.

I keep getting gambling ads, and use downvote on both web player and mobile to try discourage these. It does nothing and I continue to get the same vile ads. I've selected all of "irrelevant", "offensive", "unpleasant" etc. and nothing has an effect for several days now.

I've heard the annoying ad for Trillion Dollar Shot a trillion times. I've disliked it about a dozen times. I still keep hearing it. Please, please, please (a trillion pleases) make it stop. Thank you.

Having this problem now. Since I disliked, it's the only ad that is playing on my Spotify. Really loud and triggering. If this is some ploy to get me to buy premium, it's not working. Really don't wanna use spotify anymore if it keeps acting like this.

I had this problem too for an ad about beer I feel like it's on purpose and that the only solution is to pay but I won't
